Difference between CUCET and CUET

Most the students confuse between CUET and CUCE, so let’s understand in detail about what is CUCET?  What is CUET? And how to prepare for these exams in details.

CUET- Christ University Entrance Test

CUET is conducted for admission to all the UG programs under Christ university like B.tech, BBA, BBA (Hons), BBA (Finance and International business), BBA ( Finance and Accountancy ), BA LLB (Hons), LLM, B.Com (International Finance), BA-CEP and BHM and masters programs like MBA, M.A, M.com, M.Phil etc.

This university offers all the UG and PG programs like law, engineering and technology, commerce, finance and accountancy, architecture, social science, arts and humanities and sciences. The selection process for Christ University happens through Christ University Entrance Test, and Personal interview round.

CUET is the main door to enter Christ university. These entrance exams have six papers: Fundamental accounting, English, Comprehension skills, verbal skills, general knowledge, current affairs, quantitative aptitude, numerical ability, fundamental mathematics, reasoning, data analysis, and interpretation. It is a computer-based test, and it is usually a moderately difficult level. The students who have passed their 12th class with a minimum of 50% and qualify CUET are eligible to enter Christ University. It is a 2hours examination. The full mark of this entrance is 120 marks. Different subjects have different subjects so it varies.

How to prepare for CUET?

There are some preparation tips that make it easy for a candidate to crack this entrance exam. Let’s check what the points of preparation are –

  • Ace the CUET syllabus

The candidate must know the syllabus properly and gather all the information and resources needed for cracking the entrance.

  • Stick to the plan

One must have a plan before preparing for any entrance. Having the plan does not help to reach goal, one should follow it on regular basis with a proper timetable.

  • Revise properly

Revision is everything for any exam. It provides an idea about which portion is your strong one and which one is weak.

  • Monitor mock tests

One should practice previous year’s questions and the mock test papers by setting timers so that they can manage the time in the exam and will not leave any questions due to lack of time.

  • Good health gives a good score.

Having proper food, diet, and sleep before the exam is very necessary, or else you may fall ill at the time of entrance, and it may lead to loss of score.

CUCET- Central University’s Common Entrance Test Examination

Central University’s Common Entrance Test Examination is organized for admission of various UG, PG and research programs in various central universities and state universities. This exam is held once a year. It is a computer-based test (CBT).

There will be 2 different papers for UG and PG programs. Which consist of set of question based the subject you choose.

How to prepare for CUCET?

  • Set your study plan

While preparing for the CUCET entrance exam, you must make a timetable or say study plan, which will make it simple for you to understand. Manage your time according to the syllabus invest more time in the part you are weaker.

  • Break things into smaller sections

It is very important to break things into small sections, or else you will feel pressured while reading, and by breaking things, it will be easy for you and will save your time.

  • Start preparing early

You have to start your preparation early before the exam dates are published so that you will get a good amount of time to understand the syllabus and prepare.

  • Take time tests

By taking the time test, you will know which section of the question is taking how much time and accordingly, you can manage your time and prepare yourself for the entrance.

The difference between the CUCET and CUET test

  1. CUET is a test based for one university, Christ university, but CUCET is the exam based for all the central universities in India.
  2. CUET is for a private college, whereas CUCET is for government colleges.
  3. CUET is mildly tough, but CUCET is really tough.
  4. The competition of CUCET is more as a greater number of students appear that whereas CUET is least competitive.
